Powerful Mini Excavators for maximum efficiency – and a true premiere 

Bedburg/Munich, February 2025 – BAUMA 2025, the world’s leading trade fair for construction machinery, will open its doors from April 7 to April 13 in Munich. Manufacturers, dealers, and, most importantly, operators and industry professionals from all over the world will come together to experience the latest developments in the sector. SANY will be present with a 3,000-square-metre exhibition stand, showcasing its entire portfolio of machines for various applications. This year, a special focus will be on mini excavators, which have been further developed specifically to meet European market requirements.

With a wide range of powerful, efficient, and economical mini excavators, SANY offers tailored solutions for various applications – from urban civil engineering to landscaping and municipal use. SY10U – A Micro Excavator Makes Its Debut 

A particular highlight is the brand-new addition to the SANY portfolio: the SY10U (1-tonne operating weight), the company’s first micro excavator. With its ultra-compact design, it is a true innovation for construction sites with minimal space. The SY10U is powered by a modern Kubota diesel engine delivering 8.8 kW at 2200 rpm. Despite its small size, the machine impresses with high hydraulic performance and a standard bucket capacity of 25 liters. 

This ultra-compact machine with zero tail swing has been specially designed for the smallest job sites, narrow gardens, and confined working areas.  

A special feature is the hydraulically adjustable undercarriage, which can be extended from a narrow 745 mm up to 1100 mm. This allows the SY10U to easily pass through doorways and narrow passages. However, when greater stability is required, such as for demanding lifting operations or uneven terrain, the undercarriage can be expanded at the push of a button to maximise stability. 

Despite its small size, the SY10U offers state-of-the-art technology: it is equipped with hydraulic pilot control, a load-sensing system, a comfortable suspension seat, and theft protection via a digital code system. Its outward-swinging control panels and foldable consoles ensure particularly easy access and a comfortable seating position. 

SY26C, SY26U, SY35C, and SY35U – More Comfort, Stability, and Versatility 

With the latest advancements in the SY26 and SY35 series, SANY has optimised its proven mini excavator models to meet market demands. While the new C-variants (conventional design with short tail swing radius) build on the strengths of the existing U-models by offering greater stability and performance, the “U”-variants have also been refined to further enhance their advantages in zero-tail design. 

The SY26C provides 10% higher stability thanks to its offset upper structure and offers increased comfort with an optimised cab structure. 

The SY35C has undergone significant revisions, now featuring up to 30% more lifting capacity, making it even more efficient for demanding tasks. An improved door latch on the counterweight ensures that the door remains securely within the swing radius, enhancing ease of operation and reducing the risk of damage. 

Additionally, the float function on the dozer blade is now standard, allowing for more precise and comfortable grading on uneven terrain. A new mechanical suspension seat and an improved air conditioning system provide maximum comfort for the operator, during long working hours. 

The C-models ideally complement the existing U-zero-tail variants, which remain optimised for confined working environments. Thanks to structural modifications, the SY26C and SY35C now offer over 15% more stability – a clear advantage for precise work with heavy attachments. With these enhancements, SANY has created a model range that offers the perfect solution for both flexible compact-applications and high-performance tasks requiring increased stability. 

SY35E – The Future of the Mini Excavator Segment 

With the SY35E, SANY introduces the all-electric alternative in the 3.5-tonne class – marking the second electrified machine to join its mini excavator lineup. This machine is the ideal solution for urban construction sites where low-noise and emission-free operation is crucial. 

Utilising lithium iron phosphate technology with a battery capacity of over 3,500 charge cycles, the machine can operate for up to six hours on a single charge. Energy consumption is 30% lower than comparable diesel engines. The entire powertrain is virtually maintenance-free, reducing operating costs by up to 80% by eliminating diesel engine maintenance. The SY35E can be charged via a universal adapter, accommodating different charging options: 9 hours with an AC 230V adapter (private use), 2.5 hours with an AC 400V industrial adapter, and 1.5 hours via automotive DC CCS2 fast charging. 

The updated touch display offers intuitive operation, enabling easy control of the hydraulics and attachments. The SY35E is a future-proof choice for companies focusing on sustainable and economical solutions. 

SY60U – Compact Power for Maximum Efficiency 

At BAUMA 2025, SANY presents the SY60U, a short-tail machine in the 6-tonne class, optimised for compact construction sites and demanding applications. The 42.4 kW Yanmar engine ensures powerful performance while keeping emissions low. 

The machine features precise control, allowing up to 20 attachments to be configured directly via the 7-inch touch display. The float function on the dozer blade, a rearview camera, and a Bluetooth-enabled radio unit come as standard. 

The SY60U is a practical addition to the recently introduced SY60C, which is also used in road construction, landscaping, and urban job sites. 

SY80U 2PB – Greater Reach with Adjustable Equipment 

The SY80U with two-piece boom (2PB) has been developed for maximum flexibility and versatility. The two-piece-boom provides greater reach and optimal rollback angles, particularly beneficial on confined job sites. 

The 52 kW Yanmar diesel engine delivers the necessary power for demanding work. The redesigned cab enhances comfort and ergonomics, while an optional increased counterweight ensures additional stability.
